About Me

    I am a teacher/teacher-author who has been teaching since 1997! My passion lies in reaching all students and ensuring that they believe the very best about themselves. I have a desire to leave an impacting legacy on the children and teachers I have had the privilege of knowing and loving. My hope is that one-day public education can be a place for all learners and that all people can find their voice and their purpose.

I am also a newly single mom of one teenage daughter and one almost teenage son. So life is busy! Teaching and creating teaching materials allows me to take care of my children and still be there for them. I feel so blessed to be their mom.

Friends and family are such an important part of my life. I am surrounded by people I love and adore and who help me to see the best in myself. I am eternally thankful for these relationships.

Teaching and learning have always been a part of my life. I hope that as time changes, educators can take a hard look at what works and what doesn’t and begin to take a different approach to guiding our future generations. I believe that the need for real change exists. I hope to see the best education has to offer.
